My name is Ariana Cristina Cardoza. I am a sound designer based in New York City and a graduate from Ithaca College with a BFA in Theatre Production and Design. Currently, I am the Assistant Drafting Engineer at 4Wall Entertainment. Since graduating, I have worked as a freelance designer at Kitchen Theatre Company, The Brick, 59E59 Theatres, Hangar Theatre, Bushwick Starr, Columbia University, The New School, Shakespeare Theatre of NJ and more to come. In 2022, I completed the Harry Weininger Sound Fellowship at Berkeley Repertory Theatre. I want to continue working on plays that bring new underrepresented perspectives to “classic” works. While also highlighting new plays and new voices that create important discussions concerning race, sexuality, and the inherently political world where we reside. I strive to make aural worlds filled with abstraction and heightened reality that manifests into real emotion.
