Ariana Cristina Cardoza

My name is Ariana Cristina Cardoza. I am a sound designer based in New York City and a recent graduate from Ithaca College with a BFA in Theatre Production and Design. Currently, I am the Harry Weininger Sound Fellow at Berkeley Repertory Theatre. While at Ithaca, I was the Sound Designer for several plays: The Trojan Women, Hedda Gabler, and Red Bike. I also composed original music for an unrealized production of Marisol. I’d like to continue working on plays that bring new underrepresented perspectives to “classic” works. While also highlighting new plays and new voices that create important discussions concerning race, sexuality, and the inherently political world where we reside. I strive to make aural worlds filled with abstraction and heightened reality that manifests into real emotion. My favorite color is purple.
